okay. so. first of all. its spelled cipher, not cypher.

second of all, are you saying all you want is the client to interperate server commands, maybe for the server to dump functions into the clients' memory? this would potentially allow evil people (like me) to start a server, looking perfectly harmless, and make it create a function that overwrite all the player's script files with the word bla bla bla bla ba etc. which would not be good.

anyways... that's about it.

Ive been waiting for thir release for a while. It will work great with my new client side mod. Cause frankly you cant enjoy a game of tribes 2 now with out people cheating like $&%(#))_ . Its anoying getting killed by a guy with a perfect disk and nades that land right infront of you every time. :evil: Keep up the good work Thyth!! Were definatley rooting for you!!!

That is why I said signed command system. It would have to be encrypted on the server end, then decrypted on the client end. I'll see how well it works in practice before commiting to it.

1. i havent used my beacon system after your old server went down.
2. i never used aimbot on your server.

i was making an aimbot thing and that message was on elec's server. on your server i simply stated that i figured out a new way of targeting that would not make it lose track. the fact that you are a gunsmith doesnt make you a murderer.

i agree the the fact that i did use the waypointer intermittedly... :?

yes, cursed you, why did you ever give me that thing...
maybe do a package that adds a return to the front of the createclienttarget command so you cant get waypoints to go where you want it to.

and dond i wont use it anymore... in your server... for the immediate future...

Well, I'd assumed it would allow client side saving of buildings. Yeah it can be used as a cheat and if used properly can give you a hell of an advantage over other players. I tested its effectiveness in an UltraXL server once, when I'd usually get up to 10 kills without a single death and top out around 50 kills a game; I got 60 some kills without dying once in the match.

Couldn't you use a file-server(FTP) and store filenames of skins and models and function names of common cheats, and have the server cross reference the file-server when a player joins? If they have something thats on the list boot them. And if this works effectivly you could ask sierra to make it an official "patch" that owuld be distributed via the auto updater.

No. They would have to download your client which would do those checks. Since these people program and edit code in order to get an unfair advantage they would just do the same to your code. Even if submitte as a .dso they could reinstance the functions.

Drain Bramage, if you want some really evil functions let me know as I had them in Havoc before it became open source.
